On December 14, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Lancaster police responded to a shooting incident in the 700 block of W. Pleasant Run Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Jorge Arevalo, a resident of Hutchins, Texas, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Arevalo was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
