In the quiet, early morning hours of April 12, 2026, the community of Lancaster, Texas, was irrevocably changed by an act of violence that claimed the life of 16-year-old Myers Anthony Jr. A sophomore and junior varsity football player at Lancaster High School, Myers was a young man with a future full of promise. That future was tragically cut short when he was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 600 block of Hilton Drive.
