Larry Hearn, a 63-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on October 23, 2018, outside his home in Lancaster, Texas. Hearn, who worked as a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus operator, was on a split shift and had gone home during a break when the incident occurred. He was found shot on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10:00 a.m. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
