On August 13, 2022, 43-year-old Michael Hickmon, a youth football coach in Lancaster, Texas, was tragically shot and killed during a youth football game. The incident occurred after a heated disagreement between Hickmon and the coaching staff of the opposing team, led by Yaqub Talib, the brother of retired NFL player Aqib Talib.
