On February 10, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas, the lives of 26-year-old Briana Monroe and her 1-year-old son, Giavon Ira Curley August, came to a tragic end in an apparent murder-suicide. The sequence of events began when Monroe sent a distressing text message to the father of one of her children, indicating her intention to harm herself and her son.
