On February 14, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., San Antonio police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of West Martin Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 62-year-old Wayne Louis Elley lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound to the chest. Elley was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
