Chance Zachry Seiter, a 21-year-old male, tragically lost his life on May 2, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. He was fatally shot along with another man, Darren Meeks, also 21, during what appeared to be a drug deal gone wrong. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Jackson-Keller Road. Both victims were found deceased in a silver Kia, having sustained gunshot wounds to the back of their heads.
Authorities quickly launched an investigation into the incident.
Witnesses at the scene, including the victims' girlfriends, provided crucial information that led police to a suspect, Zion J. Limon, who was 20 years old at the time. According to the arrest affidavit, the women revealed that they had met Limon on social media, and he had given them "edibles" four days before the shooting. When confronted by the women, Limon was found to be armed with a .380 caliber handgun and had a gym bag containing additional weapons and blood-stained clothing.
Limon was arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with the deaths of Seiter and Meeks. He claimed that the shooting was in self-defense, but the evidence collected by the police contradicted his statement. The case proceeded to court, and Limon was indicted by the Bexar County Grand Jury for capital murder.
The tragic deaths of Chance Zachry Seiter and Darren Meeks highlight the dangers associated with drug-related activities and the severe consequences that can arise from such encounters. The investigation and subsequent legal proceedings underscore the importance of law enforcement in addressing and preventing violent crimes in the community.
