On March 24, 2024, at approximately 9:36 p.m., the Travis County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance and gunfire near a bus stop at 9301 Hog Eye Road, within the Community First! Village in eastern Travis County, near Austin, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 61-year-old Duan Davis with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate CPR efforts, Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
