On the morning of April 7, 2024, Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting in the 4100 block of North Central Service Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered 36-year-old Terrell Michael "Big T" Roussell with fatal gunshot wounds in a breezeway. Dallas Fire Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Roussell had been involved in an argument with 23-year-old Davondrick Ross. During the altercation, Ross allegedly shot Roussell.
The following day, Dallas police arrested Ross, charging him with murder in connection to the incident.
Originally from Luling, Louisiana, Roussell had been residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for several years. He was a member of Trinity Harvest Christian Center and a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan. Known for his dedication to youth mentorship, he coached the Southeast Louisiana Warriors Elite basketball organization. Roussell is survived by his mother, Neatrice Roussell; daughter, Kailey Roussell; sisters, Cherrelle and Trichelle Roussell; and several nieces, among other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life service was held on April 20, 2024, at The Historic Bell Baptist Church in Luling, Louisiana, honoring Roussell's memory and his contributions to the community.
