On November 19, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of Lovingood Drive in Southeast Oak Cliff. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Daniel Alexander Reyes inside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt response from Dallas Fire and Rescue, Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.
