On November 19, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3800 block of Lovingood Drive in Southeast Oak Cliff. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Daniel Alexander Reyes inside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt response from Dallas Fire and Rescue, Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Daniel Reyes was born on April 2, 1998, in Dallas, Texas, and spent his childhood and early adult life in Irving.
A graduate of MacArthur High School, he was known for his infectious humor and the joy he brought into every room. He is survived by his parents, Angel and Elsa Reyes, his brother Angel, sisters Jessica, Eneida, and Brenda, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
