On the evening of April 14, 2023, 37-year-old Adrian Gilberto Elvir was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at his apartment complex on Chapel Creek Drive in Northwest Dallas. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Elvir and another man were in the parking lot when two assailants approached, shouted in English, and opened fire. Elvir was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was transported to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
