Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Tayjay Stephens inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Emergency medical services transported Stephens to a local hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at 9:32 p.m.
APD's homicide detectives and crime scene specialists promptly initiated an investigation, processing the scene and interviewing witnesses present at the park during the incident.
