Joel Camarillo, a 19-year-old male, tragically lost his life on November 8, 2021, in Austin, Texas. He was one of two victims in a series of shootings that occurred on South Congress Avenue. Camarillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The Austin Police Department is investigating his death as a homicide, marking it as the city's 82nd homicide of the year.
