On April 18, 2024, at approximately 4:15 a.m., Houston police responded to a call regarding an unresponsive individual near a walking trail at 7250 Bellfort Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 38-year-old Jimmy Allan Goree, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
