Julian Richard Castro, a 31-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from Houston, Texas, tragically passed away on June 6, 2022. He was fatally shot in his bed during a home invasion in northwest Houston. The incident occurred in the 6500 block of Thornwall Street, where four suspects forced their way into the home after an encounter with another resident who was outside.
The suspects, described as young Black men wearing face coverings, ransacked the house before shooting Castro, who was lying in his bed. Despite being taken to the hospital by paramedics, Castro was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have been actively searching for the suspects, who fled the scene in a dark gray or black Toyota Prius hatchback with dark rims and at least one pink seat cover. Surveillance photos of the suspected vehicle were released in an effort to gather information from the public. Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspects are still at large.
