Keenan Jeremiah Greene, a 22-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on May 30, 2020, in Houston, TX. Greene was fatally shot during a shooting incident at a convenience store in the 9600 block of Scott Street around 9:15 p.m. The incident also left four others injured, including two children.
A preliminary investigation by the Houston Police Department revealed that a verbal altercation had occurred between Greene and a male suspect at a nearby party.
The altercation escalated, leading to gunfire. Witnesses reported that there might have been multiple suspects involved, but only one suspect, identified as Tristan Fontenot, 22, was arrested and charged with murder. Fontenot was taken into custody on June 30, 2020. The police continued to search for at least one other suspect, described as a black male aged 20 to 25 years.
The case remains under investigation, and the authorities have urged anyone with additional information to come forward. The community and Greene's family continue to seek justice for his untimely death.
