After parking his Jeep Cherokee, Morris was approached by an assailant who shot him multiple times. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Morris was born on November 14, 1992, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was the son of the late James Morris and the late Mary Morris.
He is survived by his siblings, including his sister, Mary Morris, and his brothers, James Morris Jr. and Michael Morris. Morris was a dedicated employee at a local construction company and was known for his hardworking nature and friendly demeanor. He was also an avid sports fan, particularly enjoying basketball and football. His family and friends remember him as a kind-hearted individual who always had a smile on his face.
As of December 28, 2024, there have been no arrests or publicly identified suspects in connection with Morris's murder. The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division is actively investigating the case and has appealed to the public for assistance. They are seeking information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the crime.
