On June 26, 2014, 20-year-old Breanna Richelle Moore, affectionately known as "Bree," was tragically murdered by her boyfriend, Joshua Almeda, in Anchorage, Alaska. The couple had been in a relationship for approximately a year, during which Almeda exhibited a history of violent behavior. On the night of the incident, after attending a court-ordered class for drug and alcohol abuse, Almeda and Moore returned to his parents' home.
