On May 13, 2015, in Anchorage, Alaska, 27-year-old Desiree Leandra Gonzalez was found deceased in her south Anchorage home alongside her partner, 24-year-old Curtis Young III, and their two children: 4-year-old Zaiden Edwin Young and 17-month-old Zarielle Alexis Young. The Anchorage Police Department identified the incident as a domestic violence-related murder-suicide, concluding that Curtis Young III fatally shot Desiree, their children, and then himself.
