On May 18, 2024, at approximately 2:29 a.m., Brownsville police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Blanche Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 25-year-old Armando "El 50" Rivera deceased in the passenger seat of a vehicle, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
