Edgar Barrera, a 33-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on August 4, 2021, in Brownsville, Texas. Barrera was found with a gunshot wound inside a white vehicle that had collided with two other vehicles outside a small apartment complex on the 5400 block of Boca Chica Boulevard. Investigators believe that Barrera was driving the vehicle when he was shot. A number of shell casings were found at the scene, but it was unclear how many times he had been shot.
