On January 27, 2024, 24-year-old Jose Santiago Sanchez and 26-year-old Eduardo Sebastian Alamillo Martinez, both from Hidalgo County, were found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence in the 6800 block of Greystone Drive in Brownsville, Texas. Deputies from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of shots fired and discovered the two men unresponsive. Emergency medical services arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed both individuals were deceased.
