Ines Cruz, a 49-year-old man from Brownsville, Texas, was found dead on December 29, 2021, along with his 24-year-old son, Manuel Cruz. The bodies were discovered on Old Port Isabel Road, east of Lomo Alta Lake, by a passerby who noticed two men lying on the side of the road. Upon arrival, authorities found that both men had gunshot wounds to their heads, and their legs and hands were bound with rope.
