On December 23, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 22-year-old Adam Hunter Garza was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting while standing in front of his home in the 3200 block of E. 28th Street in Brownsville, Texas. He was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Adam was a devoted fiancé, brother, son, and friend, known for his friendly and comforting personality. He had a passion for playing golf, working on his truck, and working out.
His bright smile and silly jokes left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Adam's family sought assistance through a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses, expressing their devastation and need for support during this difficult time.
As of July 2024, the Brownsville Police Department continues to investigate Adam's murder. Despite extensive efforts, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unresolved.
