On June 9, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., 25-year-old Houston resident Alberto Posada was fatally shot following a confrontation that began at a gas station located at 9700 Homestead Road. The incident escalated into a road rage situation, culminating in Posada's vehicle being pursued and fired upon as he arrived at Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.
