Death by Force

On October 13, 2023, at approximately 3:45 a.m., 29-year-old taco truck owner Roberto Almaguer Garza was fatally shot during an attempted robbery at his food truck located at 8524 Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston. As he and his employees were closing for the night, two suspects approached and demanded money. A struggle ensued, during which Almaguer Garza was shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
