On July 21, 2024, at approximately 4:13 p.m., 52-year-old Jose Baez was fatally shot in the head near 2010 Bruckner Boulevard in the Castle Hill neighborhood of the Bronx. Emergency responders transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, the NYPD arrested 28-year-old Julio Ramirez on July 23, 2024, in connection with Baez's death. Ramirez, a resident of East 169th Street in the Bronx, was charged with second-degree murder, ...Read More
