On the night of June 18, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, 31-year-old Jonathan Medrano and his companion, 27-year-old Ariel Martinez, were fatally shot while driving on West Martin Street near Northwest 24th Street. According to police reports, an unidentified vehicle pulled alongside their car, and occupants opened fire, causing multiple bullet wounds to both Medrano and Martinez. The attack led their vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a nearby embankment.
