On the evening of July 20, 2024, at approximately 9:55 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 1000 block of Grigsby Avenue in Old East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Brione Jacquil Spencer lying on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue promptly transported Spencer to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
