Born on September 20, 2006, in Newark, Delaware, Gage was known for his contagious smile, genuine heart, and vibrant spirit. He had a passion for boxing, earning the nickname "Gage 'Da Rampage' Abe" at the Fight Factory gym in Wilmington, Delaware.
A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Gage relocated to Texas, where he continued to touch the lives of many with his charismatic personality and deep connections with friends and family.
In the aftermath of his death, Dallas police conducted an investigation into the fatal shooting that occurred in the Red Bird area. By October 29, 2024, authorities announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with the incident. The suspects were apprehended following a series of leads and community tips that linked them to the crime scene. The arrests brought a measure of relief to Gage's grieving family and friends, who had been seeking justice for his untimely death.

He is survived by his parents, Kristen and Floyd Cannady, and Timothy Abe; siblings, Melissa, Dexter, Samantha, Timothy Jr., Victoria, Joseph, Elizabeth, Charron, Sariah, Ariana, Jamiir, Destiny, Dallas, and Taylor; as well as grandparents, Patricia and Steve Brinkley, Karen Abe, Alberto Baez Morris, and Henrietta Franklin. Predeceased by his brother Julian and grandfather Walter Dill "Pop Pop" George, Gage's memory continues to be honored by his extended family, friends, and community members who cherished his lively spirit and the joy he brought into their lives.
