On June 2, 2023, at approximately 5:49 a.m., San Diego police responded to multiple reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Logan Avenue in the Barrio Logan neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Brian Noel suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest. Despite immediate medical attention, Noel was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 6:39 a.m.
