Salvadore Reyes, a 36-year-old man, was tortured and killed between June 1 and June 30, 2000, in California. His death was part of a series of brutal murders attributed to serial killer Samuel Jefferson Dixon during that period.
Dixon's modus operandi was marked by extreme violence and sadism. In addition to the murder of Salvadore Reyes, Dixon was responsible for the deaths of several other individuals. These included "San Diego Jane Doe," an unidentified woman tortured and killed in May 2000 in San Diego; Robyn Whitehead, a 37-year-old woman strangled and bludgeoned between May 1 and June 30, 2000; and Gary Lynn Boothe, a 46-year-old man bludgeoned to death on April 30, 2001, all in California.
