On November 21, 2023, at approximately 10:15 a.m., Sam Chan, a 50-year-old resident of Torrance, California, was fatally shot at a warehouse located in the 23100 block of South Mariposa Avenue. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds to the head, classifying the incident as a homicide.
