On April 6, 2024, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Stockton police responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Wood Duck Circle and Quail Lakes Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle atop a median with 21-year-old Boivae Martinez Jr. in the driver's seat, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
