On May 26, 2024, 49-year-old Manuel Sepulveda Jr., a resident of Baldwin Park, California, was found deceased in the riverbed area near the 605 Freeway, just south of the 210 Freeway in Irwindale. Authorities responded to the scene around 10:30 a.m., where Sepulveda was pronounced dead.
