Angel Velasquez, a 6-year-old boy from Baldwin Park, California, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2022. The incident occurred in the backyard of his home, where he lived with his mother, Yesli Velazquez Gonzalez, and her boyfriend, Rigoberto Covarrubias. On that fateful day, both Angel and his mother were shot multiple times.
