On June 1, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., 33-year-old Sergio Rios Jr. and his 19-year-old brother, Ricardo Rios, were fatally shot while seated in their parked car near their residence in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Browning Boulevard, close to the intersection of Budlong Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and just a block away from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
