Rene Almeida, aged 51, was fatally shot on April 18, 2014, in Houston, Texas, while working as a security guard at a condominium complex. The incident took place at around 12:25 a.m. when Almeida was on duty at the 9700 block of Leawood Boulevard. He was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
