On December 19, 2007, Marvin Allen Cooper, a 40-year-old African American male, was discovered deceased along the shoulder of the 8100 block of Shreveport in northeast Houston. A commuter en route to work noticed his body around 6 a.m. and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, Houston Police Department officers found that Mr. Cooper had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
