On June 3, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., 18-year-old Henry Granado II of Pittsburg, California, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on the 1100 block of Macaulay Street in Antioch. Officers from the Antioch Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and found Granado near the sidewalk, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate first-aid efforts, he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Granado was a senior at Pittsburg High School, set to graduate just days after the incident. His untimely death has left the community in mourning, with classmates and faculty expressing deep sorrow over the loss of a promising young life.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain unidentified.
