On June 18, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., 26-year-old Alex Hamilton was fatally shot while staying with friends at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of College Boulevard in Oceanside, California. A single gunshot was fired through a bedroom window, striking Hamilton in the head. Several occupants fled the apartment, while others sought refuge in a bathroom until law enforcement arrived. Hamilton was transported to Palomar Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
