Upon arrival, they discovered two men with gunshot wounds: 30-year-old Kenneth Migliardi of Camarillo and 33-year-old Daniel Jonte of Thousand Oaks. Migliardi was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds; his death was ruled a homicide.
Jonte was found deceased at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, indicating suicide.
Investigations revealed that Migliardi had been in a relationship with a woman for approximately four months, and the couple was house-sitting her parents' home at the time of the incident. Early that morning, Jonte, identified as the woman's ex-boyfriend, entered the residence armed with two guns.
