Maria Ramos, a 33-year-old mother of eight from Los Angeles, was fatally shot on August 7, 2024, in East Oakland, California. While visiting her mother, Blanca Velasco, Ramos noticed a car near their residence and suspected its occupants of selling marijuana vape pens to her children.
