On April 22, 2023, at approximately 5:17 p.m., Martin Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at 406 North Lindell Street, the location of Haircuts R Us Family Barber Shop, owned by 44-year-old Mantaring Okie Woolridge. Upon arrival, they discovered 39-year-old Terry Wilson Jr. deceased from a single gunshot wound. His body was found behind the Carl Perkins Center office building at 408 North Lindell Street, adjacent to the barber shop.
