On a summer evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 25-year-old Javeon Bowden, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On July 20, 2023, what began as a road rage incident escalated into fatal violence. Bowden was in a Toyota Corolla with two other people when a passenger in a Nissan Altima opened fire. Struck by the gunfire, Bowden was rushed to Methodist South Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
