On February 27, 2023, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Memphis Police responded to a shooting at the intersection of West Essex and Arkansas Street in South Memphis. Upon arrival, officers discovered four male victims with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims, identified as 22-year-old Cory Blocker and 20-year-old Christopher M.
