On October 29, 2023, at approximately 3:32 p.m., Memphis police responded to a shooting at Tha Table restaurant, located in the 3200 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard in Whitehaven. Upon arrival, officers discovered two gunshot victims: 31-year-old Tedarius Day, found deceased in his vehicle, and 30-year-old restaurant owner, Alfonzo Turner, who was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
