On November 19, 2023, 19-year-old Anthony "Jayden" Barksdale was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Oakwell Farms Lane in Hermitage, Tennessee. As he arrived at the building, a gunman appeared and opened fire, chasing Barksdale to the front door and continuing to shoot as he attempted to flee.
