On March 10, 2024, at approximately 2:22 p.m., Springfield Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call on the 1300 block of Pine Circle in Springfield, Tennessee. Upon arrival, they discovered two women with gunshot wounds inside a white Dodge Challenger. One victim, 26-year-old Deshawna M. Traughber, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, 29-year-old Nicole J. Lane, received emergency medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
