On March 23, 2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., 18-year-old Reginald Smart and 17-year-old Camron McGlothen were fatally shot at the Hermitage Flats Apartments, located at 5636 Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage, Tennessee. Both teenagers sustained multiple gunshot wounds near the breezeway of their apartment building. Smart was pronounced dead at the scene, while McGlothen succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
